Welcome to Sport-Olympic


I have a dream!! I have been born in Athens and my roots are from the Olympia Village which is the land where the Olympic Games were born. From my childhood I was quite afflected about the Olympic Games and generally for the sports. Every time I visited the Stadium in Ancient Olympia I had a dream to collect as much information as possible and make a book about the History of the Olympics and Sports. But now the situation has changed so I have decided to create a website called Sport-olympic.gr for this. The goal is to gather from all sources (electronic or not) as much information as possible about all the Olympics from antiquity to the present day, in order to create a website that is the most complete and comprehensive that exists. The purpose of Sport-olympic.gr is not to cover the games in the news, but to have an archive-encyclopedia character for the already accomplished My wish is for anyone who visits Sport-olympic.gr to be able to find any information they wish. In Sport-olympic.gr for each Olympics there are pages with general information, statistics, presentation of the stadiums, pages for memorabilia, for the torch relay, as well as of course the complete results in each sport with all their analysis. The project has been underway for three years, but as it is easily understood, as the whole project, from the creation, the collection of information and the writing, is done by one person, it is progressing slowly, but finally I am proud to say that the pages for Summer Olympics are almost completed. Once I'm done with the Olympics, I'll do the same with sports like Athletics (there are already several pages with information, statistics and Games results), Swimming, Tennis, Soccer, Basketball, etc. As I mentioned above, all this effort is personal with meager financial means, so that the effort can move forward faster and more efficiently (many improvements need to be made to the platform, to servers, to tools, etc.), it would be very It is important to help this effort with some sponsorship or cooperation, which will be able to push this dream to achieve it.
